Goodbye Dolores, Hello Lola!

Well it's now out of my hands. I have seen the x rays and in the words of the surgeon:
"It can't get any worse!"
So now we are bidding a fond adieu to my old right hip who I have named Dolores. She has served me well for many, many years and the time has come to let her go. The newby is Lola who is made out of some sort of metal and will last as long as I do. No need to think up a new name fifteen years down the line.
Lola will enter my life in May. There will be time out for recuperative behaviour and then we get the show back on the road. It's been a long time since I could walk with any confidence so I am actually looking forward to Lola getting me on two feet again. A walk a day keeps the demons at bay!
St.Michael's Hospital is great. The waiting room was like the seventh circle of hell but the staff were friendly and kind and very very professional. I kind of enjoy sharing elbow room with crazies and street people as long as I am upwind of them. They give one a refreshing slant on life and are just as entertaining as T.V.
I am not too thrilled about the operation itself as one is awake for it. However that is the way it will be and with Michelle's help by then I will be able to hypnotize myself into a happy place. So we are launched, and, if I think there is anything you may be interested in I will be sure to share it with you as it happens!
